Cramped, crowded, and cluttered, Dave and Wendy’s home office
was stuffed into a room that had once served as a nursery. At just
over 55 |
square feet, it was
definitely undersized and overburdened.
That’s because the room had to serve as an office, a craft center,
and a homework home base for two working parents and a pair of growing
boys. Unfortunately, it didn’t accomplish any of those things
well.
The “Before” floor plan above shows that one side of the
room was home to an outdated computer desk, and the other to a small
folding table. But storage was nowhere to be found. That meant the
desk, table, and floor all became stacked with stuff, which left little
usable space for actually doing anything.
